The library will be having a Computer 101 program on Tuesday at 10:00. This program is for adults, those with little to no computer skills who would like to learn more about computers. Topics of instruction will include using a mouse and keyboard, searching the internet, and writing a letter using a word processor. This program will be held in the reference department of the library. Registrations are required as space is limited. Family Film Night
The Hazleton Area Public Library will be hosting a family film night Wednesday, September 11 at 6:00 in the Community Room (Green Street entrance) of the library. Popcorn and refreshments will be provided. If interested, visit or call the library for the title of the film. Registration is required, visit or call the library to register.
Decoupage Keepsake Box Craft
On Tuesday, September 17 the Hazleton Area Public Library will be having an adult craft class creating decoupage keepsake boxes. There is no cost and no experience necessary. Supplies will be provided by the library. Please feel free to bring any paper clippings that you may find inspirational to the class. This craft can get a bit messy; please wear comfortable clothes. Class will start at 6:00 in the Community Room. Please use the Green Street entrance. Registration is required as space is limited. The One with the Trivia Night
In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Friends TV premiere on September 22, the Hazleton Area Public Library will be hosting a Friends Trivia Night on Wednesday, September 18 at 6:00 in the Community Room (Green Street entrance). Come one and all as teams of up to 5 people are welcome. Don't have a team? We will fit you in with teams with less than 5 people on them. In celebration of Stephen King’s birthday on September 21, HAPL’s Hazy Painters will be able to redesign ANY work of the critically acclaimed “Master of Horror”. Fall Toddler and Preschool Storytimes begin Wednesday, September 25 and will last for six weeks. Toddler Storytime, for children currently ages 2 and 3, is on Wednesdays at 10:00. Toddlers must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. Preschool Storytime, for children ages 4-5, is on Wednesdays at 6:00. Children will learn about different topics and concepts through stories, activities, playtime, and crafts. This group meets once a month and is for students in grades 3-6. Each month we explore a different topic with hands-on activities and games. Our first program takes place on Tuesday, September 10 from 6:00-7:00, and we will be exploring the oceans. Teen Time: Bad Art
