In December 2005, the Hazleton Area Public Library conducted a three part writing workshop sponsored by the Luzerne County Library System through an LSTA grant. The workshop was designed for students in grades 7-11. The instructor for the workshop was Alexis Neapolitan, Jr. Students were given an opportunity to write in a variety of styles, including prose, poetry, and drama. Here are samples of the students’ written materials.

The Whatever Card is absolutely FREE to anyone who is a resident of Luzerne County and is between 12 and 18 years of age. With it, you may borrow materials at any of the Luzerne County Library System’s seventeen locations.
