"Be Creative At Your Library" Summer Reading Club 2009 - Toddlers and Preschoolers

Toddler Read To Me
Tuesday is the day for toddlers (ages 2 and 3) and parents to meet for storytime at the Library. Programs will be held at 10:00 AM (except as noted). Classes are 45 minutes in length and class size is limited. Make sure you register the Monday before the program you wish to attend. Toddlers must be 2 years old at time of registration.
Preschool Read To Me
Wednesday is the day for
preschoolers (ages 4 and 5)
to meet for storytime at the Library. Programs will be offered at 10:00 AM (except as noted) and will last for one hour. Class size is limited. Make sure you register the Monday before the program you wish to attend. Preschoolers must be 4 years old at time of registration.

Reg. 6/22 -"You're Special"
We are all unique and have many special talents. Be creative and make a puppet that resembles the one and only you!
June 24 Family Storytime (Toddlers, Preschoolers, and Parents) 6:30 PM
Reg. 6/22 - "Inside Mouse, Outside Mouse"
Hear stories about mice and explore the contents of a past "One Book Every Young Child" traveling trunk.
June 30 (Toddler) & July 1 (Preschool)
Reg. 6/29 -"Movin' and Groovin' at the Library"
Get on your feet! We'll be movin' and groovin' and dancing to the beat. Build a fun creation to take home too.
July 3 & 4
Independence Day - Library Closed.
July 7 (Toddler) & July 8 (Preschool)
Reg. 7/6 - Be An Artist"
We'll be painting this week, so bring your imagination and creativity. Please dress appropriately.
July 14 (Toddler) & July 15 (Preschool)
Reg. 7/13 - "Food Creations"
Hear delicious stories and make a yummy necklace you can wear or eat.
July 21 (Toddler) & July 22 (Preschool)
Reg. 7/20 - "Trip to the Firehouse"
We'll meet at the South Side Firehouse on East Broad Street. A parent or caregiver must accompany each child.
July 22 Family Storytime (Toddlers, Preschoolers, and Parents) 6:30 PM
Reg. 7/20 - "If You Were a Penguin"
Chilly penguin fun during the hot summer with this year's "One Book Every Young Child" book and traveling trunk.
July 28 (Toddler) & July 29 (Preschool)
Reg 7/27 - "Making Music"
Sing-along to the stories and then make some music of your own with a handmade instrument.
August 4 (Toddler) & August 5 (Preschool)
Reg 8/3 - "We're Having a Picnic"
What's more fun than a summer picnic to celebrate the end of our club? Parents are invited and encouraged to join us.

Last day to complete reading log requirements.
August 13 10:00 - 11:30 AM and 1:00 - 4:00 PM
Finisher's Party
An Open House Celebration for all reading log finishers. Stop in, play bingo, make your own ice cream sundae and receive your certificate. No registration is necessary.
