"Catch the Reading Bug" Summer Reading Club - Toddlers and Preschoolers
Toddler Read-To-Me
Tuesday is the day for Toddlers
(ages 2 and 3) and parents to
meet for storytime at the Library.
Programs will be held at 10 AM.
Classes are 45 minutes in length
and class size is limited. Make sure
you register the Monday before the
program you wish to attend.
Toddlers must be 2 years old
at time of registration.
Preschool Read-To-Me
Wednesday is the day for
preschoolers (ages 4, 5, and 6)
to meet for storyhour at the
Library.
Programs will be offered at
10 AM and will last for one hour. Class size is
limited.
Make sure you register the Monday before the program you wish to attend.
Preschoolers must be 4 years
old at time of registration.

Begin using your reading log this week!
June 24 (Toddler) & June 24 (Preschool)
Reg. 6/23 -"I Love Bugs"
Use your imagination and create a bug puppet that anyone can love.
July 1 (Toddler) & July 2 (Preschool)
Reg. 6/30 - "Buzzing Bees"
It's the "Bee's Knees" this week with bumblebee stories and a cool craft.
July 4 & 5
Independence Day - Library Closed.
July 8 (Toddler) & July 9 (Preschool)
Reg. 7/7 - Family Storytime 6:30 PM - "Up, Down and Around"
Families are invited to these special storytimes as we read this year's selection for Pennsylvania's One Book Every Young Child and explore the things found in the traveling trunk. We will be painting for our craft; please dress appropriately.
July 15 (Toddler) & July 16 (Preschool)
Reg. 7/14 - "Creepy Crawly Critters"
Stories about worms, caterpillars, and centipedes, plus a great craft. You must bring a white tube sock and 4 plastic bags for the craft.
July 22 (Toddler) & July 23 (Preschool)
Reg. 7/21 - "Trip to Community Park"
Enjoy searching for insects and have fun in the sun. Bring a drink and a snack and the bugs may find us! A parent or adult caregiver must accompany each child. Clothes and shoes should be appropriate for outdoor play.
July 29 (Toddler) and July 30 (Preschool)
Reg. 7/28 - "Spiders and Flies"
Pets or pests? You decide. Stories and an eight-legged hat!
August 5 (Toddler) & August 6 (Preschool)
Reg 8/4 - "Beautiful Butterflies"
Make a beautiful butterfly of your very own. We will be using paint this week.
August 8
Last day to complete reading log requirements.
August 14 10:00 - 11:30 AM and 1:00 - 4:00 PM
Finisher's Party
An Open House Celebration for all reading log finishers. Stop in, play games, make your own ice cream sundae and receive your certificate. No registration is necessary.
